Changes are afoot at the restaurant beneath the Academy of Sciences. Loretta Keller's Moss Room is seeing a chef shuffle next week, as the Scoop reports, with Justin Simoneaux on his way out to pursue his own project, and Coco500 second-in-command Michael Morrison moving in as executive chef. Keller and Morrison are planning a menu revamp that hopes to make the Moss Room more of a "destination restaurant." Meanwhile, Simoneaux's being cagey about plans, but the obvious guess here would that the New Orleanian may be bringing a bit more of the bayou the Bay. More as that develops. [Scoop]
