We earlier noted, by way of Sex Pigeon’s charming endorsement, the quiet war being raged on 24th Street between old school, greasy donut purveyors The Jelly Donut, and upstart, gourmet donut mongers, Dynamo Donut, who’ve been trying to usurp The Jelly Donut’s clientele since 2008. Today, Mission Local presents a wistful slideshow of side-by-side shots of the two shops, which include a smiling Jelly Donut counterman who’s undoubtedly stuffing free ones in the bag, and a tray of Dynamo’s popular maple bacon donuts.
