Chef Vincent Schofield, who we’ve seen previously at Boulevard and at the Sundance Café, opens his seafood-centric eatery Ebb & Flow this evening at 5:30 p.m. in the former Craig’s Place at 18th and Guerrero. He handed over his menu to us yesterday (see it in full below), which in addition to basics like raw oysters and crab melts, features some tempting items like a mixed basket of fried shrimp, scallops, clams, smelt and squid with dipping sauces; a rock shrimp ceviche with house-made tortilla chips; and an oyster po’boy with Old Bay remoulade on an Acme roll. Schofield says he wants to bring the kind of simple, fresh seafood that the tourists get down by the wharf to a local audience in the Mission — and clearly he’ll be giving Woodhouse Fish Co. a run for their money.
