Planned Taqueria at Lingba Falls Through, Place Goes Up For Sale

It looks like the Chez Papa people (Maktub Group) have dropped plans to open a taqueria called Papito in the nearby corner spot vacated in December by Lingba. As Eater reported in January, the French group was moving full steam ahead on the project at the corner of 18th and Connecticut, but evidently have backed out since the restaurant is back on the market. If there are any takers out there, the owners want $165,000, and it’s got the only full-bar liquor license in the entire neighborhood, or so claims the ad.
