New East Bay Food Truck Offers Authentic Argentinian Asado

Primo’s Parilla, a new “curbside dining” operation from Argentinian native Javier Sandes, is officially on the Twitter radar and serving up authentic, slow-grilled asado along with homemade chimichurri and empanadas across the East Bay. As Grub Street learns today, Sandes grills only local meats, and he uses almond wood and mesquite charcoal to grill his meats on site, a technique he started using at backyard barbecues in Oakland. He hopes ultimately to open a restaurant, but for now, you can find the Primo’s truck camped outside the Pixar gates in Emeryville at Hollis and Park Streets. Why must Pixar always be so lucky?
