Roland’s Bagels Shutters, Beer Pairings at Delarosa, and More

Lower Haight: Roland’s Bagels, which is opening a second location with an attached bistro in Hayes Valley, appears to have closed their original Haight location due to a lease dispute with the landlord. The two parties are hoping to reconcile and make the closing only temporary. [Eater]
Marina: Delarosa offers some specific beer pairings for their pizzas, created by their cicerone (beer sommelier) Rich Higgins, but they aren’t printed on the menu. Jonathan Kauffman goes ahead and publishes them as a follow-up to his middling review. [SFoodie]

Western Addition: Yon Davis, formerly of Yats New Orleans Original Po Boys, is doing lunch service at Annie’s Bistro under the name Creole Soups and Such, and he’s slowly taking over the dinner service there as well. He’ll soon have an empire of two when his Bayview location opens at 4800 3rd Street. [Tablehopper]
Union Square, or…: Jeffrey Chodorow, who recently announced he’s parting ways with the Clift Hotel and taking Asia de Cuba with him, apparently wouldn’t mind reopening elsewhere in town. Someone tell him that Shanghai 1930 space is available. [Eater]
SOMA: The previously announced remodel at Saison moves forward the second week in April, with a new stove as well as a new patio with a vegetable and herb garden. Also a reminder, the plan is for them to add a fourth night of service, Thursdays, after they reopen. [Chron/Inside Scoop]
Healdsburg: Startender and author Scott Beattie (formerly of Cyrus) has resurfaced at the sister hotel to the Hotel Healdsburg called H2Hotel. He’ll be manning the bar with chef Rudy Mihal (formerly of Odyssey in Windsor). [Eater]
