The touring pork-apalooza called Cochon 555 kicks off Sunday in Napa and serves as that valley's answer to Charlie Palmer's Pigs & Pinot event in Sonoma County. It will feature five winemakers and five chefs preparing dishes from five hogs, but will also feature guest butcher Ryan Farr as well as an extra-special guest appearance from recently out-of-work chef Jeremy Fox, formerly of Ubuntu. We're not sure if Fox will be assisting friends Chris Kostow of Meadowood or David Knell of the French Laundry, or if he'll just be standing around looking pretty and fending off questions from nosy journalists about his next move. But we look forward to being nosy and figuring it out.
