NOPA: The former owners of Baker Street Bistro have opened a new bistro in the former Café Organica space (532 Central Avenue). Expect French-casual favorites like duck confit with lentils, fish ragout, onion soup, and escargot from chef Nicolas Jardin. [Tablehopper]
North Beach: Not so much a hot dog joint as a salciceria, The Dogfather is set to take over the North Beach Lobster Shack space (532 Green Street) in the very near future. [Eater]

Lower Haight: Hanabi, the sushi restaurant once known for its love of Portishead, has reopened following a fairly substantial overhaul. [Eater]
Bayview: Frisco Fried opened on Third Street in mid-January, featuring chicken and waffles, garlic-roasted crab, and something that sounds rather innovative: the burger dog. [Tablehopper]
Sunset: The reincarnation of Sozai, Izakaya Sozai (1500 Irving) debuts tonight, and it should be noted they’re offering a nice and simple — if fusion-y — Valentine’s Day prix fixe. [Eater]
SOMA: We’ve been wondering what the hold up was with Thad Vogler’s upcoming venture Bar Agricole, but now we understand it’s because it’s not just a bar, it’s a restaurant, and it’s going into a LEED certified building with an interior (featuring custom skylights from artist Nikolas Weinstein, and custom concrete floors from Concreteworks) that aims to be the first LEED Platinum commercial interior. We’ll be waiting until May, it sounds like, at the earliest. [Tablehopper]
Berkeley: Food writer Robert Lauriston is opening a new place in the former Maritime East and originally Cafe de Eva (2826 Telegraph) to be called Locanda da Eva with Roman-style pizzas and pasta from chef Alex Placencia, formerly of Miss Pearl’s Jam House. [Chron]
Potrero Hill: Also, further on the horizon, Sonoma’s Ecco Caffe will be moving a combo café and roastery into an as-yet unnamed location in the Potrero. [Eater]
