Tacolicious Debuts; We Snagged the Menu

Mid-range Marina Mexican (say that twice fast) Tacolicious debuted last night, and by all accounts the neighborhood needs it. Being close to neither the Mission’s plethora of carne asada, nor to another mid-range Mexican place that’s won a lot of fans (Nopalito), Marina folk should be pleased that owner Joe Hargrave decided to close down Laiola and bring his Ferry Building taco stand here — but fear not, he’ll still be making farmers’ market appearances on Thursdays.

The taco filling menu includes “shot-and-a beer-braised chicken” and fried local rock cod, and there’s a cheeky note next the chili con queso that would never fly in the Mission: “Sustainable? No. Local? Nope. Delicious? Yep.” Also of note: A daily $10 pre-fixe special that includes a shot of El Jimador Blanco, a Tecate, and a taco of your choice. See the full menu below.
