Ferran Adrià, the OG of molecular gastronomy and chef at El Bulli restaurant, has signed on to teach a course at the Basque Culinary Centre, set to open in September 2011. The UK Telegraph brings us new details about the school, which has started construction in San Sebastian, the seaside resort town that is home to restaurants boasting a total of sixteen Michelin stars. The BCC will offer a four-year undergraduate program, a one-year master’s program, and shorter courses for professionals and amateurs alike, both in English and Spanish. Despite many chefs’ distaste for the whole gimmicky, science-y nature of Adrià’s techniques, it looks like they won’t be going away too soon.
