From us, SFoodie, and others, Thursday evening’s Underground Farmers’ Market at a private home in the Outer Mission got a fair amount of press attention, so the visit from the Health Department doesn’t come as much of a shocker. The dudes with clipboards were apparently very nice, didn’t call the cops, and spoke with organizer Iso Rabins about what he could do next time to make the event more legit. But that didn’t keep Rabins from shout-typing on his blog about the culprit from another farmers’ market who ratted them out: “What happened to community? Supporting our local food producers?…I’d like to know who did it. I’d like to have a conversation with them… Bastards.” Check out a few more photos at the forageSF Facebook page.
