There are certain invitation-only events that the food obsessed can only dream of attending, and one of them is Thomas Keller’s French Laundry holiday party. We were not among the privileged few to snag an invite, but Carolyn Jung over at Food Gal did, and she took a bunch of photos to prove it. From the miniature, signature salmon coronets to the foie-gras-frosted, raspberry-filled cupcakes (pictured), it sounds like Carolyn had an enviably fine time – she even took a break to tease Keller about his clogs, asking, “Are you pulling a Mario Batali?” Keller was quick to correct her: his clogs are real leather while Mario’s plastic.
