We reported last week that Australian-themed, CalTrain-adjacent South would be closing at year’s end. But the full story now emerges via Tablehopper that the restaurant will soon be reopening with a new concept and new executive chef (Jennifer Puccio of Cortez), losing one partner (Luke Mangan), and gaining a new local partner, Dave Stanton of Tres Agaves, who’ll be joining existing partner Anna Weinberg. Though specifics about the new name and menu have yet to be revealed, Puccio is aiming for a French bistro-inspired concept. The opening is slated for February.
