• Pinch-hitting in the Weekly (prior to Jonathan Kauffman’s January instatement), John Birdsall gives high praise to a number of the locally-sourced dishes at Il Cane Rosso, and stresses that this isn’t your typical Italian-meets-California fare. “What’s amazing about Il Cane Rosso is the way the food expresses the ingredient-focused style of Cal-Med’s 30-year-old traditions while making them feel absolutely contemporary.” [SF Weekly]
