Aqua Reinstates Lunch Service With Business in Mind

In what we’re going to go ahead and call an economic green shoot, Aqua has announced that it’s going to start serving lunch again four days a week after canceling the midday service in January. Tentatively courting the downtown business crowd Monday to Friday, the embattled seafood palace’s new chef Jason Pringle is offering a mixture of new and existing items a la carte, as well as a prix fixe two-item “business lunch” for $27. Starting September 22, the lunch hour will go from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. With any luck, they’ll open it up to weekend fans of seafood bloody Marys before too long. Check out some items from the new menu below.

Sample Appetizers:
Seasonal Oyster with a Trio of Mignonette ($15)
Goat Cheese Ravioli with Duck Confit and Porcini Mushrooms ($17)
Tartare of Ahi Tuna flavored with Moroccan Spice and Lemon Confit ($16)

Sample Entrees:
Albacore Tuna Paillard served with Fresh Vegetables and a Shimigi Vinaigrette ($22)
King Salmon with Sourdough Gnocchi, Cockles and Black Garlic ($25)
Pork Chop with Quince, Swiss Chard and Chanterelle Mushroom ($23)

Sample Business Lunch ($27):
Starter: Veal Terrine with Pickled Cherries, Mustard Fruit and fresh Arugula
Main: Grilled Branzino with Root Vegetables
