Karen Leibowitz Leaving Mission Street Food

After about a year, Mission Street Food co-founder Karen Leibowitz is leaving the operation to take a professorship in another state. The Berkeley English grad and wife of MSF chef Anthony Myint wrote on the blog yesterday, “Anthony will continue Mission Street Food with the help of our incredible staff, but this will be my last week at the restaurant. We’ll be taking a week off (Aug 13 and 15) while Anthony helps me settle in, and then it’s back to the regularly scheduled programming.” If you want to see Karen one more time before she moves away, she’ll be at Lung Shan this Thursday and Saturday. Thursday, by the way, will feature the cuisine of the Ottoman empire. Check out the menu below.

Mezza Plate: carrot-filo cigar, smoky eggplant puree, scallions, olives and pita - $8
