Joe Day is the new chef for the Giants, and he plans to make the clubhouse food more nutritious. Before Wednesday’s game, players ate “tri-tip wraps with pesto, lettuce chicken cups, salads, fruit, whole-grain bread, tuna salad and chicken salad,” reports the Mercury News. The team is also consulting with a dietitian, but the new food lineup was approved by Rich Aurilia, who wants to attend culinary school after getting off first base. [Mercury News]
