
• Citizen Cake is having its second annual Green Dinner, a monochrome, four-course deal, including fava bean hummus, asparagus salad, and a pea/ricotta amalgamation, for $45 per person — $65 with wine pairing — on May 12.
• Jeanty At Jack's is having a wine and oyster tasting, called Consider the Oyster, on May 17. Seven types of oysters and 10 types of wine will be available, as well as other snacks, covered by your $60 ticket.
• Mushroom fans should stop by Menlo Park's Marche on May 15-16 for the second annual Champignon Dinner, a five-course wild-mushroom tasting menu for $75, excluding wine and tip.
• Don't forget, Big 4 Restaurant's Wild Game Week goes from May 12 through May 16. Check out the menu (pdf)
• San Francisco Dine About Town is next month, and participants have been announced so you can make your reservations now.
• Another favorite tradition — though much newer — San Francisco's third annual Cocktail Week starts next Monday. Seven days of cocktail parties, bartender competitions, and tastings should be enough to soothe even the most fervent boozehound.
