In your veggie-centric news for the day, word has it that Hoss Zare has put together a separate, vegetarian menu at the Fly Trap. It's a good-looking collection, and not small. We were glad to hear he's keeping up with his big-ass meatball special. From the press release:
The featured dish costs $17 and includes two, baseball-sized vegetarian kufteh flavored with Persian spices such as coriander, cumin and harissa and served with seven-spice carrot-verjus emulsion and Mediterranean avocado salsa on the side. Hoss Zaré’s unique kufteh preparation method, which involves whipped egg white and ground grains, makes for a surprisingly light, fluffy composition. It's nice to be able to go to a restaurant with a mixed-diet group and have everybody's dinner be shaped the same. Check the whole menu after the jump.
