Here are some meal specials and drink deals for tax day and just in general. Don't forget, it's also Wednesday, when a lot of restaurants have decided to offer steep discounts on wine. Check last week's post for those.
• Zinnia starts its "Halfsy Hour" special today, with half-priced drinks and half-portion meals available from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. weeknights.
• We've mentioned it before, but Daily Grill is doing happy hour at the bar all day and picking up the tax on whatever you eat.
• McCormick & Kuleto's will give today's bar patrons a certificate for $10.40 off their next meal. Get it? 1040? Yeah, that one was EZ. They'll also have some special cocktails and discounts on Sam Adams.
• Finally, wine bars Bin 38 is offering a free glass during its tax day happy hour party, 4 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today.
Other, ongoing specials of note:
• Not exactly tax-specific, but money-themed anyway, SF City Dish brings word of a clever promo at South, where you pay for your drink in the Australian exchange rate of the day. That's $0.73 on the dollar today.
• If you swing by AT&T Park on days when there's not a game scheduled, Acme Chophouse will be offering $5 snacks, $3 beer, $4 wine by the glass, and $10 bottles of wine.
