Ususal Suspects Space For Sale, Last Call For Cafe

The setting for the drama that was the Ususal Suspects Cafe is now for sale, and the cafe's proprietor — who still operates on the weekends, we're told — plans to finally retire.

The entire building in North Beach, which includes the two-level restaurant space and a penthouse one-bedroom flat, is going for a cool $1,700,000.

We had been under the impression that the cafe was closed (it's listed as such on our site and on Yelp), but realtor Brian Leung, who is listing the space, said on the phone today that it still opens on weekends for vegan food and comedy. "The guy just wants to retire," he said.

You'll recall that Usual Suspects was the scene of some pretty intense flap last year, when the chefs who had been working there quit after clashing with owner Bob Bosco. We ran a pretty in-depth article at the time.

Anyway, it looks like the whole saga is finally coming to an end. Check out more photos of the space after the jump.
