So, can we call this? Ok, we’re just going to call it for fun: Happy hour deals are the new cupcakes! No, scratch that. Happy hours are the new $14 martinis. That’s more accurate (and, btw, in your face, $14 martinis). And we couldn’t be happier.
The latest on the bandwagon, ’wichcraft (part of the Tom Colicchio/Craft empire) is going to start offering not one but two happy hours each day. Here’s what their press release says:
Every day, from 3 – 6 p.m. guests are welcome to beat the mid-afternoon slump with the ‘wichcraft coffee happy hour, where all coffee drinks are 50% off. This includes drip, espresso, café au lait, cappuccino, lattes etc. that range from $0.97 - $1.90.
Following, from 5-7 p.m. ‘wichcraft begins offering a more ‘traditional’ happy hour with $2 draft beers (Anchor Steam, Pilsner, Sierra Nevada) and $4 wine by the glass (rotates between six different types).
Not bad, right? We never really allowed ourselves to get swept up in the mania about this place — though Alexis sure likes their white anchovy sandwich — But that’s not to say we don’t know a good deal when we see one. This is definitely worth braving the Westfield mall for.
