Sometimes food porn really earns its name. You get a big, gratuitous shot of some lovely dish just glowing with savory goodness, and it can come close enough to the food itself to tide you over until you can get at the real thing. Get what we're saying here?
This is the case with Rick Poon's flickr stream on Brenda's French Soul Food. The photos are beautiful, and get the appetite up. Of course we'd rather have a real oyster po boy any day of the week. However, that's just not always possible, and the photographs serve that weird dual purpose of scratching and exacerbating that appetite itch:
